Plovdiv

 

The second largest city in Bulgaria is the fourth oldest city in Europe. The history and architecture is breath taking and a day trip should not be forgotten! With train and bus services from the guesthouse (taxi services available on request) right into the city centre it allows easy access to one of Bulgaria's most beautiful and historical cities. Home of The Ancient Theatre and 'The Old Town', an ideal place for a romantic walk and meal. 

Hisarya

Named after Emperor Augustus, Hisar dates back thousands of years to the time when it was used as a Spa by the Romans. 

Today, it still possesses some amazing Roman ruins, for example the ruins of city wall all over Hisar which amazingly survived the battles. 

There are still Spa's located in Hisar and the water is known for its positive effects on the kidneys. 

Sopot

Not far from the city of Banya is Sopot, with its beautiful mountains and paragliding competitions. There are lifts to enable visitors to enjoy the stunning views.  

Starosel 

Not only is Starosel known for Thracian cult complex of VI century BC. However, there are also local vineyards that provide tours of the incredible production and generation from grape to wine. 

Karlovo

A wonderful place for those who love mountains and even mountains climbing! The city is famous for the birth of the revolutionary Vasil Levski in 1837.

The Festival of Roses is held annually around May, where magical festive stalls and roses are displayed. A must see if coming in the spring season.

Kalofer

Kalofer is a starting point for conquering the highest peak in Central Balkan National Park – Botev peak. Kalofer is 2,376 meters above sea level – from the south; 

One of the paths, starting from the town, leads to the highest waterfall in Bulgaria – Raiskoto Praskalo – 124 metres high.

Monasteries of Kalofer are places that history lovers should not miss.
